CELEBRATING NAVARATHRI AT MY PLACE



I HAVE NEVER DONE ANY POOJA ON NAVARATHRI AT MY PLACE,BUT THIS TIME I WANTED TO CELEBRATE SO AFTER DOING SO MANY RESEARCH I STARTED THE POOJA ,I HAVE PUT RANGOLI USING DALS AND PAAL NAIVEDIYAM AND I HAD SOME PEACE OF MIND THIS TIME,AND POLLU ENOJOYED THE POOJA AS HE COULD USE THE GANTHA TO KEEP THE AWAKE GODDESS LAKSHMI.

SIGNIFACANCE OF NAVARATHRI


India is a country of festivals and celebration. It has a very rich historical and cultural background. Each Indian festival has a proper meaning, reason and significance behind its celebration. Fun and enjoyment are the aspects of the festivals, which sets the festive mood. Navratri, as the name suggests, means nine nights. It is one of the important Hindu festivals. It is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Durga, the deity of Power. Like other festivals of India, Navratri also has a significance and meaning attached to it. Each day of the nine-day festival are dedicated to the worship of different forms of Goddess Durga, which unfolds the religious importance of the occasion. Go through the following lines to know more about the significance of Navratri festival.

Significance of Navratri

The First Three Days of Navratri
The first three days of Navratri are devoted to the worship of the Goddess Durga. This is the period, when her energy and power are worshipped. Each day is dedicated to a different appearance of Durga. Kumari, which signifies the girl child, is worshipped on the first day of the festival. Parvati, who is the embodiment of a young woman, is worshipped on the second day. The destructive aspects of Goddess Durga symbolize the commitment to acquire triumph over all the evil tendencies. Hence, on the third day of Navratri, Goddess Kali is worshipped, who represents the woman who has reached the stage of maturity.

Fourth to Sixth Days of Navratri
When a person acquires triumph over evil tendencies of ego, anger, lust and other animal instincts, he/she experiences a void. This void is filled with spiritual wealth. For the purpose, the person approaches Goddess Lakshmi, to acquire all the materialistic, spiritual wealth and prosperity. This is the reason why the fourth, fifth and sixth day of Navratri are dedicated to the worship of Lakshmi - the goddess of prosperity and peace.

Although the individual has acquired victory over evil tendencies and wealth, he is still deprived of true knowledge. Knowledge is required to live the life of a humane, even though he/she is prospered with power and wealth. Therefore, Goddess Saraswati is worshipped on the fifth day of Navratri. All the books and other literature materials are gathered in one place and a 'diya' (earthen lamp) is lit in front of the deity, to invoke the goddess and seek her blessings. Till the time the books are kept at the puja room, the students would not study.

Seventh and Eighth Day of Navratri
The seventh day is dedicated to worshipping Saraswati, the goddess of art and knowledge. Prayers are offered with an aim to seek spiritual knowledge. A 'yagna' is performed on the eight day. This comprises of a sacrifice honoring goddess Durga as well as bids her farewell. The sacrifice or offering is made out of clarified butter (ghee), rice pudding known as kheer and sesame seeds.

Ninth Day of Navratri
The ninth day is the final day of Navratri celebrations. It is also known as 'Mahanavami'. On the day, Kanya puja is performed to worship nine young girls, who have not yet reached the stage of puberty. These nine girls symbolize one of the nine forms of goddess Durga. The feet of girls are washed to welcome the goddess and show respect to her. The girls are offered a set of new clothes as a gift from the devotees at the end of the puja.

ONION DOSA [ NEERULI DOSE]

I WAS BORED OF PREPARING PLAIN DOSA ALL THE TIME.SO THIS WEEKEND I THOUGHT OF PREPARING ONION DOSA FOR A CHANGE BECAUSE MY HUSBAND LOVES TO EAT DOSA IN ANY FORM SO I GAVE IT A TRY .

DOSA IS ONE OF THE MAIN COURSE IN SOUTH INDIA ,WE HAVE DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF DOSA .THIS TIME WHEN I HAD BEEN TO INDIA I BOUGHT A BOOK SPECIALLY FOR PREPARING DOSA AND THIS DOSA IS ONE OF THEM WHICH I TRIED.NEERULI MEANS ONION IN KANNADA AND IT IS THE MAIN INGREDIENT.IT IS THE INDIAN STYLE PANCAKE


INGREDIENT
RICE - 3CUP
URAD DAL-1 CUP
METHI SEEDS - 1/4 TSPN
ONION - 2 CUP CHOPPED
CORIANDER LEAVES -1 CUP CHOPPED
COCONUT - 1/4 CUP
BAKING SODA A PINCH
SALT TO TASTE
OIL/GHEE



METHOD
CLEAN THE RICE AND URAD DAAL SEPARATELY AND SOAK IT FOR HOURS,LATER GRIND IT INTO A SMOOTH PASTE AND ADD SALT AND BAKING POWDER AND MIX IT THOROUGHLY,LET THIS BATTER FERMENT [KEEP THE BATTER OVERNIGHT].
PLACE THE DOSA GRIDDLE ON FLAME,ADD A LITTLE OIL/GHEE AND SPREAD IT WITH COCONUT COIR OR TISSUE PAPER.
SPRINLE LITTLE WATER ON GRIDLE JUST TO CHECK WEATHER IT IS SUFFIECIENTLY HOT TO POUR THE DOSA BATTER.
POUR 1 LADDLE OF BATTER ON THE GRIDDLE AND SPREAD EVENLY TO GET SAME THICKNESS ALL OVER .
TOP IT WITH ONION AND CORIANDER MIXTURE IMMEDIATELY AND PRESS IT GENTLY SO THAT THE MIXTURE STICKS TO THE DOSA.
WHEN THE TOP OF THE DOSA GETS COOKED TURN IT OVER AND LET THE OTHER SIDE COOK TILL IT TURN GOLDEN BROWN.

YOU CAN ENJOY THIS DOSA WITH VEGETABLE SAGU OR PEANUT CHUTNEY.


THINGS TO REMEMBER

1. The ground batter should be thick but finely grounded. Please do not add water at all. On fermentation it will be right.

2. Add salt at night before overnight fermentation. Adding salt helps to ferment fast.

BUT HE GAVE A ZOR KA JATKA JO DHEERE SE LAGA MUJHE THAT HE HAS HIS OWN SPEED AND ONE DAY HE WILL ACHIEVE IT,LIKE FINALLY HE HAD HIS MILK 2 DAYS BACK IN A CUP

VERMICELLI

VERMICELLI is a type of pasta, round in section and somewhat thinner than spaghetti. Vermicelloni ("thick vermicelli") is less common, and about the same size as fedelini Both are thinner than spaghettini .

I wanted to cook something new dish for evening snack so i thought of doing vermicelli idli i had heard of this idli but never tried it,so i gave it a shot.Raghu AND MY SON liked it so i can cook it any time either for breakfast or evening snack.



INGREDIENTS:
VERMICELLI - 1 1/2 CUP
RAVA (WHEAT SOOJI/SEMOLINA)- 3/4 CUP
YOGURT- 2 CUP
PINCH OF ASFOETIDA
MUSTARD SEEDS - 1/2 SPN
URAD DAL - 1/2 SPN
CURRY LEAVES - 5-6 LEAVES
CORIANDER LEAVES - 1 CUP
GREEN CHILLIES - 4-5
GHEE - 1 TSPN
PINCH OF BAKING SODA

METHOD
FRY BOTH VERMICELLI AND RAVA SEPARATELY IN GHEE TILL THEY TURN GOLDEN YELLOW.
MIX BOTH OF THEM IN CURD,If the vermicelli and rava soaks well, the idlis come out very soft. Add more curd if the batter becomes too dry.
Add salt, coriander leaves and green chilies (cut into small pieces).
Heat oil and add mustard seeds and urad daal when mustard starts popping and urad daal becomes brownish, add curry leaves, baking soda and a pinch of asafoetida. Add this seasoning to the batter and mix well.
Put the batter in greased idli stand and steam them.

YOU CAN SERVE THE HOT IDLIS WITH CHUTNEY POWDER /SAMBHAR

ONION CHUTNEY
I WAS THINKING WHAT NEW CHUTNEY I CAN PREPARE BECAUSE I WAS BORED OF HAVING USUAL COCONUT CHUTNEY .THEN AS I WAS SURFING NET , I FOUND THIS ONION CHUTNEY SO THOUGHT OF GIVING IT A TRY AND IT WAS DELICIOUS .THE METHOD AS FOLLOWS
INGREDIENTS :
Onions - 2 med. sized- peeled
Red chillies - 2
Tamarind - the size of a marble
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp.
Mustard seeds -¼ tsp
A pinch of hing.
Coconut 1/4 cup

METHOD: Peel and cut onions. Wash tamarind and grind with salt, onions and chillis. Heat oil and add urad dal, hing & red chillies. When the seeds splutter add the ground chutney. Let it fry for 2,3 mints. and switch off the gas. Grind every thing to a coarse paste.
This goes well with rice, parathas, idlis and dosas.

Spinach chutney /thambuli [south indian style]


My husband is fond eater he likes me cooking new dishes he appreciates me when i cook new dish but always make fun of me that i experiment on him .This dish i learnt from my mother in law who had seen this dish cooked by her daughter on her visit to DALLAS .so she saw spinach getting waste in my fridge so she said that she had seen her daughter cooking thambuli out of this and which is very easy to cook and i have modified this for my taste,after i learnt this thambuli it is there in our menu when i am bored of cooking sometime.

it is pretty simple

INGREDIENTS:
Spinach - 1 1/2 cup
green chillies 2-3
ghee -1 spoon
yogurt- 3/4 cup
salt to taste
lemon juice 2-4 drops
oil - 1 spoon
mustard seeds - 1sp
urad dal - 1sp
curry leaves 2-4

METHOD:
Fry the spinach and green chillies in the ghee till they decrease in the volume ,let it cool and grind it into smooth paste by adding 1/4 cup of yogurt to the spinach mixture.

Add rest of the yogurt to the paste , lemon juice and salt to taste.and give tadka of mustard seeds,urad dal and curry leaves

serve this spinach thambuli /chutney with hot rice..

INGREDIENTS:

Jackfruit(Without seeds) 1 cup
Rice 1 cup
Grated coconut 1/2 cup
Jaggery 1/2 cup
Sesame seeds 1 tsp (Optional)
Cardamom powder 1tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for frying




METHOD:

1) Wash and Soak rice for 3 hours.
2) Drain the water from rice and grind with coconut,jaggery and jackfruit(Do not add water).
3) Add salt, sesame and cardamom powder to the batter.This batter has to be thick(Okay if it is coarse).
4) Heat oil in a deep pan.Make small balls of the dough and drop in hot oil.
5) Deep fry in oil till brown in colour and drain.
6) You can eat just like that. I served with honey to make it more sweet.

IDLI RECIPE



IDLI IS ONE OF THE FAVORITE BREAKFAST AT MY HOUSE AND AS WELL AS FAVORITE FOOD FOR SOUTH INDIANS.THIS DISH IS FAMOUS ALL OVER THE WORLD,IT IS SCRUMPTIOUS,LIGHT AND IDEAL FOR BREAKFAST.IT IS MADE OF RICE AND URAD DAAL.MAKING IDLI IS VERY EASY BUT IT TAKES MUCH TIME IN PREPARING THE BATTER AS IT NEEDS TO BE FERMENTED TO HAVE A GOOD AND SOFT IDLI

Idli is served hot along with sambhar and Nariyal chutney (Coconut chutney). Read on to know how to make idli, if you want to try this wonderful south Indian delicacy.


INGREDIENTS
2 AND 1/2 CUP RICE [YOU CAN USE IDLI RAVA ALSO]
1 CUP URAD DAAL
1 AND 1/2 SPOONS OF OIL TO SEASON THE PLATES
1 SPOON SALT TO TASTE



METHOD

SOAK BOTH URAD DAL AND RICE SEPARATELY IN HOT WATER FOR 5 TO 6 HOURS .PICK ,WASH AND DRAIN BOTH THE URAD DAL AND RICE.GRIND THE DAL INTO SMOOTH AND FROTHY PASTE.AFTER WHICH GRIND THE RICE COARSELY [SOME LIKE SMOOTH PASTE]AND SOME USE IDLI RAVA SO THEY DONT HAVE TO SOAK RICE SEPERATELY [WASH THE RAVA THOROUGHLY AND DRAIN EXCESS WATER]
MIX BOTH THE DAL PASTE AND RICE WITH SALT AND SET ASIDE FOR 1 DAY SO THE BATTER GETS FERMENTED.IDLI IS READY TO COOK WHEN THE BATTER IS WELL FERMENTED.GREASE THE IDLI HOLDER /PAN WITH OIL AND FILL EACH OF THEM 3/4 FULL OF BATTER.

STEAM COOK THE IDLI FOR ABOUT 10 MIN IN MEDIUM FLAME OR UNTIL DONE.USE BATTER KNIFE OR SPOON TO REMOVE THE IDLI'S.SERVE THEM HOT WITH SAMBHAR OR CHUTNEY

First day in splash pad


Today was the first day out in splash pad.After waiting for a good weather at last today the temperature was around 72 degree .I was very excited to take him out to the splash pad ..I have got him his new swim diapers and he was pretty excited to wear them and get into his stroller .

When we neared the splash pad pollu got scared .Once we entered the play area he was just overcoming his fear of water and he was at his ease ,enjoyed to maximum .People around the spalsh pad who were watching us told me that he was walking like penguin ,i told them that he has recently learned to walk.
he played for almost an hour and a half ,he came running to me and started crying ,this was the sign for me to head back to home and take some rest.

Beetroot chutney


This is one of the recipe which my husband loves and after marriage i didnt even know that there is a chutney which can be made by beetroot and this time when i went to my IN Laws place i learnt this recipe from my mother in law .she makes better than me but this is just a replica of it...

Ingredients

2 Boiled Beetrot
5-6 red chili
pinch of HIng Powder(asofetida)
1/2 cup grated coconut
small piece of tamarind
salt to taste
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp urad dal
few curry leaves
1/2 tsp of oil

Method

In blender add boiled beetroot ,red chilli grated coconut,and small piece of tamarind,grind it till you have a thick paste ,to this paste add salt,pinch of hing powder.To this add a tadka of mustard,urad dal and curry leaves.


YOu can have this chutney with rice ,Dosa or even roti.

Majjige Huli-South Indian Recipe


MAJJIGE HULI
This is a traditional dish of UDUPI commonly known as kodekenna which is made out of sour curd.It is simple to prepare,tasty,low fat,and can be eaten with rice.

Ingredients:
1 cup grated cocunut
3 green chilli
1 cup sour curd
1/2 Tsp Fenugreek seeds (methi seeds)
1/2 Tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
salt to taste


vegetables which can be used are BENDE KAAYI (Bhindi/Okhra/Ladies finger), BOODA KUMBALA KAAYI (Ash-gourd),cucumber..These vegetables give a good taste for the recipe.

Method.
Cut the vegetables and keep them to boil with little amount of water to this add green chillies .After it has been boiled add thick paste of coconut (grinded in blender) add salt to taste ..After it has cooled just before you serve add the curd and mix it well.

Just to add flavour give a tadka of fenugreek seeds and jeera.

One important thing is only one vegetable goes with Majjige huli.

First Experience in Escalator and Mini Train travel


As we had been to Mall and Pollu was excited to see escaltor,and he wanted to explore it and he tried to walk into it....and he experienced it when raghu took him in escalator and he was very happy...

He went in a train ride and he was excited but got scared as he was alone and he started crying ..so the operator stopped and i took him out...Train Smiley

so i must say he enjoyed these little aspects of the day...

After a long break coming back


HI guys i am coming back after a long break ...
i had a nice time being to tulip festival on 2nd of may and pollu enjoyed it a lot..he loved the flowers and you can see his picture..

He is getting naughtier day by day..and i waas just thinking when will he stop all this .And i guess it is not over as he will start talking in some time and will have so many question to ask..as of now i am happy to listen his talk in his own way..

we just finished our Anniversary which was just on the corner oops we finished 2 years of our married life and when i look back i can see we had so many ups and downs which we crossed together as partners and there are still more years to complete...so had prepared Carrot halwa on that day to celebrate our anniversary..

and i can see how i am winding a months incidents in one page ...

NORTH INDIAN DISHES


1:ALOO MATTAR RECIPE

HERE IS A DELIGHT FULL DISH-Potatoes and peas in a tomato puree sauce. It's pretty easy to rustle up, and adds zing to any meal. The best thing is that all of the ingredients are readily available.

INGREDIENTS:-

2 TBS OF VEGETABLE OIL
2 BOILED POTATOES
1 ONION
1 CUP TOMATO PUREE
1 CUP BOILED PEAS (SOAKED OVER NIGHT/FROZEN PEAS)
1 BAY LEAVES
5-6 CLOVES
1 CINNAMON
1 tspoon GINGER-GARLIC PASTE
1/2 tbs CORIANDER POWDER
1/2 tbs JEERA POWDER
1 tbs FENUGREEK LEAVES
1/2 ts RED CHILLI POWDER
1/2 tbs KITCHEN KING MASALA (IF NOT GARAM MASALA)
SALT TO TASTE
2 tbs CHOPPED CILANTRO
1 Tbs SUGAR

DIRECTION

a) HEAT OIL IN A WOK OVER MEDIUM HEAT.ADD GINGER GARLIC PASTE ,BAY LEAVES.MIX IN THE BOILED POTATOES AND PEAS,SAUTE IT
FOR 10 MINUTES.

b) IN A BLENDER ADD ONION,CLOVES AND CINNAMON, MAKE A FINE PASTE AFTER WHICH THIS MIXTURE IS ADDED TO THE BOILED POTATOES AND PEAS,COOK FOR FEW SECONDS.

C)STIR IN THE TOMATO PUREE,KITCHEN KING MASALA,RED CHILLI POWDER,CORIANDER AND JEERA POWDER,SUGAR AND SALT TO TASTE INTO THE VEGETABLE MIXTURE.CONTINE COOKING FOR 5-10 MINUTES.MIX IN CILANTROAND CONTINUE COOKING FOR 2 MINUTES.

NOW ALOO MATAR IS READY TO SERVE . Serve hot with naan, puris, rotis, or plain rice.

Today my little magic baby turns 1 .We celebrate pradhan growing up and i must not forget to add that he is growing really fast .He got his first wish from me and raghu ,later he got his blessings from ammama,ajja and mama....One special gift he got was from sheetal who became one of my very good friend...
we celebrated his birthday by going out and having a quite lunch and enjoying some good quality family time and raghu promised me that he will take me and pradhan for a tulip festival in HOLLAND ,michigan as part of the birthday celebration after 2 weeks ..and then i realised that time is flying very very fast..

10 MORE DAYS -PRADHAN WILL BE 1 YEAR OLD

The countdown has begun 10 more days and pradhan will be 1 year ,and its so surprising because i just feel that he was born yesterday ,seeing this i feel that time flies so fast..

A year ago we welcomed pradhan with open arms,nervously and sleepily we took him home.
We figured out the nursing.This goes how? and where?We were told there would be crying,And how to show we care.

A year has gone so quickly,Yet we have learned so much.We've felt a love so strongly,
In a baby's gentle touch.You're as cute as a bugSo precious to hugA darling child
Who's nice to be near.So.. hope turning oneIs happy and fun And takes you along
To a second great year


So today is Hanuman jayanthi and a year back pradhan was born on this day so today i praparing some sweets and Raghu will get CAKE and we will celebrate ...

WALKING MY WAY INTO THE WORLD

AS USUAL I WAS WATCHING POLLU DOING HIS OWN ACTIVITIES AT HOME,DAILY HE WOULD TRY TO WALK,WITHOUT MY HELP BUT YESTERDAY WE HAD SOME GUEST COME OVER AND AS USUAL POLLU WAS VERY EXCITED TO SEE THEM AT HOME BECAUSE AFTER I CAME BACK FROM INDIA POLLU HAD SEEN ME AND RAGHU AT HOME ,HE WAS SO USED TO THE ENVIRONMENT IN INDIA WHERE OUR HOUSE WERE FILLED WITH PEOPLE AND HE LIKED THE COMPANY OF GRAND MA,ARUN MAMA,DEEPU MAMA ,APPUS AND MUTHU AROUND HIM.
THAT EXCITMENT PROVKED HIM TO TAKE HIS FIRST 10 STEPS IN THIS WORD ALL BY HIMSELF... AND WHEN I SAW HIM DOING THAT I THOUGHT HOW TIME IS FLYING AND HE IS HAS REACHED ANOTHER MILE STONE IN HIS LIFE .


I WAS DANCING WITH JOY WHEN I SAW HIM WALK....RAGHU WAS REALLY HAPPY TO ENJOY ONE OF THE IMPORTANT MILESTONE IN HIS LIFE.

REUNiON WITH DADDY

We were travelling on 28 feb and i reliased that we spent full 6 months ,time just flew so fast.Pradhan's grand ma and grand pa they had started to miss him...and my mom in law was in bangalore but at my SIL 's place so in the evening me and arun went to get her from Basavangudi..and it was already 6:30 in the evening by the time we reached back home..and i finished my packing after coming back.pollu was enjoying his last stay with chikki dodda arun mama,and everyone else at home..i was feeling bad to leave sonu and come and also..i was having mixed dielema as i was leaving my parents and at the other end was happy as i was meeting raghu..

The time had come to leave everyone and start our journey to airport...and on the way my mOm in law realised that she left her specs at home and she reliased it when we had reached yalahanka so it was difficult for us to return back home and get it..as it was already 10:30 pm and we had to reach airport by 11.SO we tried our luck and called up shino to check if my uncle was at home and to our luck he was at home and he collected the specs and gave it to shino and biju they came to airport and dropped that specs ..as the time came closer we had to enter the airport ..and it was difficult to have the baby and fill the forms with Mil for whom it was all new ,so daddy had asked some help from his friend who allowed amma to enter inside along with me..

In the counter there was lot of chaous and some how after a long process i finishe dmy work and we went to immigration counter an dwe finished that also and from here i and pollu bid a good bye to amma ,appa and arun...:( from here we were all alone with Mil and then we boarded the flight and reached Mumbai and here we slept till 6:30 am and then we were asked to change the terminal..and mean time i and pollu got freshened up and as we came to terminal i felt like a having a hot cup of coffee and after which boarding had started..from here our journey start for reunion with raghu .
We reached chicago we collected our baggage and when we came out Raghu was waiting eagerly for us and in the mean time in excitment we lost our important file in the airport and we had to give a police complaint..and as we came home raghu wanted to give me a surprise but the item which he had booked hadnt come on the given date...so he just had to wish me....

So at home HE and his friend ARANI wished me on my birthday...

And this is how we reunited with DADDY..

MY FIRST HAIR CUT..



Today is 23rd February i got my first hair cut. My grand pa [ajja] and grand ma [amma ma]did my haircut and called it as mushroom cut ...As Raghu wanted to his hair cut to be done as early as possible because pollu was looking like a rock star with long hairs..
Today i and pollu went out to commercial street to celebrate my best friends birthday ANd today was Tilak's birthday..sick smileys as we where going to the hotel to have our lunch all of a sudden i stumled and fell onto the ground along with pollu luckily nothing happened to him ...For my surprise my sweet sister chaitra gave me a surprise birthday party which really amazing and it was my memorable day because i celebrated it with pollu and most with chaitra and tilak..Pollu enjoyed the birthday feast and he ate his first pastry ..Today is one of the memorable day which i cannot forget as my vaccation is going t o end ...i am feeling very sad to leave all of them and go to US on 27th ..I donno how i and pollu spent our 6 long vacction.

MY LITTLE SHIVAMANI...


Today afternoon as usual me and my mom where enjoying a sizzling hot cup of tea and later we noticed that our little angel was busy in his own world of toys like crying baby,his fav a little girl doll,and a drum ofcourse how could i miss it,he was just beating his way through the drum making some unbareable sounds,but it was very nice to hear,and after some time he saw his craddle and started hitting with his drum stick and within no seconds he started beating his drum first and cradlle to produce different kind of noice.

When we noticed it we just picturised SHIVAMANI but a junior SHIVAMANI .My mom enjoyed his every bit of exitement as she will miss it after some days..

PRADHAN'S FIRST TOOTH

Pradhan's first tooth this moment is one of the amazing moment in our lives,but again the sad part is that Raghu again missed his chance,[but one thing is that in other 3 weeks i will meet him and he can enjoy every moment of pradhan]
This is a one mile stone in pradhan's life itself,he is just growing so fast,for his tooth we are waiting from when he was 3 month old because from then his jaw was very hard as they tell " mazbooth jod hai tootega nahi " my grandmother was predicting that he will get his first tooth very early i.e by 5 month but he took his one time in everything wheather it be crawling ,rolling over etc..to watch him grow like this i feel he is an angel whose wings decrease as his legs increase.
PRADHAN will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bankroll smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for.

PRADHAN'S INDIA TRIP



PRADHAN'S India trip is one of the memorable moments for me because i hadn't expected nor have i thought once also about how i will cope up with pradhan without my mom's help but to my surprise i have spent most of the first year with mom ,dad and my brother arun ..

When i reached India i was so scared about pradhan's behaviour with everyone,i was thinking will he mingle with everyone,but everything went on so smoothly..
i spent my first week in bangalore at amma's place so i and pollu get adjusted with the weather and also jetlag,then we went to Raghu's ancestrol house MAvanthoor.My sister in law's and my hubby had scared me to be carefull as my co sister's son aditya was very naughty.But he was not as noughty as i thought he didnt do anything to pollu ,i spent my 3 weeks there and came to Bangalore.

Pradhan was 6 months at the time when i came to bangalore by then he had started to sit but to my surprise he learnt to crawl after he sit,he was enjoying the company of appu and muthu..I didnt go any where in these 2 months ,but i spent some money to dietician but i am too lazy to do as she had told me,but i have joined indusladies and i am getting motivation to diet from there ..


ohhhh i forgot to share that when pollu was 3 month old he called "amma" for the first time,pollu was becoming naughtier day by day,and at the same time i was feeling that raghu missed most of his developments [i really feel bad for that]and raghu came to india on a brief holiday and in this time we had Pradhan's naming ceremony in bangalore for which everyone had come and we enjoyed it thoroughly,ater 21dec 2008 we had function every week on 28th we had bhakti's naming ceremony[Raghu's cousin's daughter]and my uncle's 60th birthday ,next week i missed my cousin's engagement as we had gone for stamping luckily my MIL got visa for 10 years since she was coming along with us i missed going back with raghu,

Raghu spent one month with pollu i was very happy with that..and i am just waiting when will join him..You know most of the women are not lucky as me because they don't get fair amount of time to spend with their parents after the baby is born.For this golden opportunity i must thank Raghu and i would like to tell him that I LOVE HIM A LOT..
