Beetroot chutney

This is one of the recipe which my husband loves and after marriage i didnt even know that there is a chutney which can be made by beetroot and this time when i went to my IN Laws place i learnt this recipe from my mother in law .she makes better than me but this is just a replica of it...


2 Boiled Beetrot
5-6 red chili
pinch of HIng Powder(asofetida)
1/2 cup grated coconut
small piece of tamarind
salt to taste
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp urad dal
few curry leaves
1/2 tsp of oil


In blender add boiled beetroot ,red chilli grated coconut,and small piece of tamarind,grind it till you have a thick paste ,to this paste add salt,pinch of hing powder.To this add a tadka of mustard,urad dal and curry leaves.

YOu can have this chutney with rice ,Dosa or even roti.
