Vada


This week i had a Potluck and i decided to make Dahi vada,so i prepared this vada and i must it looked yum,my husband is fond of these vada so once in a while i do prepare them.Vada's are famous in South India you make with Channa dal and urad dal,here i have prepared urad dal vada but with a twist.


Ingredients
* 1 cup Urad dal
* 1/4 cup channa dal
* 1/2 cup onion
*2 spoons pepper corn
*chopped green chillies
*chopped coriander
*chopped ginger
*1/4 cup coconut pieces
*salt to taste
*oil to fry



Method

* Soak urad dal and channa dal for 2 hours and grind it to a thick & smooth paste ,add 1 spoon of water as required for the mixer.
*Grind ginger, chillies and pepper to a coarse mixture and add it to the batter.Also add the coconut pieces,salt to taste
*Take some of this batter on your left palm and make a small hole in the centre and carefully place it in the kadai with hot oil.
*Deep fry on a low flame till a reddish brown colour is reached.
